Obama's Imperialism Betraying Progressive Supporters :Jeremy Scahill Obama's Secret Prisons ,Renditions, Torture & Drone Attacks Creating More Terrorists While Crushing and Silencing Dissent In America

Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream not just of a society where racism was no longer tolerated but a nation dedicated to real justice and the rule of law in which no one would be exempt from the law. President Obama's agenda directly contravenes these principles as those in high places and those rich enough are exempted from the law by President Obama.

Obama's drone attacks will come back to bite America

Published on 10 Jan 2013
The illegal assassinations and slaughter of innocent civilians, including hundreds of the children, has become the hallmark of President Obama's war policies. Rather than making America more secure, it is a policy that will inevitably cause blowback against the United States, by relatives and communities who have suffered loss seeking revenge for the killing of their loved ones.

Obama's Secret CIA Dungeon In Somalia Violates His Own Executive Order! - YouTube
Jeremy Scahill on secret prisons and programs. Obama continues various Bush Regime's tactics such as renditions, torture, Drone attacks, bombing more countries, killing more civilians without any apologies or remorse etc. President Obama in the end appears to believe whatever America does is by definition justified including targeted assassinations and bombing civilians in Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen etc. This story is ignored by most of the Mainstream Media and progressives and other supporters of Obama refuse to call out President Obama's lies and hypocrisy on these issues. If anything Obama has expanded the Global War on Terror .

And Cenk Uygur at The Young Turks weighs in  on Jeremy Scahill's report on drone attacks.
Note Cenk also mentions the so-called Double-Taps in which after a first strike once people appear to attempt to give aid to those wounded the USA then directs a second attack on the rescuers .
Cenk also notes that Obama has instituted a new way of deciding on who or who is not an innocent civilians or are combatants . Obama claims any male over 15 years old is counted as an enemy combatant without offering any evidence.

Obama Drone Strikes Are 'Mass Murder' - Jeremy Scahill

Published on 4 Jun 2012
"Weighing in on President Obama's targeted drone strikes in the Middle East, journalist Jeremy Scahill did not mince words. During his appearance on MSNBC's "Up With Chris Hayes" Saturday morning, Scahill repeatedly said that such attacks, when they killed innocent civilians, amounted to "murder"...".* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

It is time now that Obama has begun his second term in office to put his feet to the fire and make him live up to his promises made in 2008 and before that when he said he wanted to bring about real change.

And further President Obama is now in the same category of rogue presidents such as Nixon, Reagan, Bush 1 & 2. We expected no more from these other presidents since they were outspoken and dedicated conservatives while Obama pretends to be in favor of real substantive changes in line with Liberal and Progressive ideology instead he is at the end of the day on the side of the status quo. This explains his disinterest in the reform of the racist Justice system or the racist privatized money making prison industrial complex.

It appears to matter little to Obama that due to endemic racist ideology throughout America and its policing , court , prison system that blacks and Latino are disproportionately represented in the Prison Industrial System.  Just because Obama happens to be black does not mean that he is on the side of poor blacks or Latinos . He is like his white counterparts interested only in the well to do successful blacks in America.

The Wall Street gang of thugs and snake oil sellers get to rob as they please knowing in the end the US government will protect them except for a few necessary examples to create the phony public relations necessary so it looks as if the President was a man of his word which he in fact is not anymore than George W. Bush or Dick Cheney were.

The lies and propaganda have continued un-abetted under the Obama Regime which has sold out to the highest bidders. Obama has sold out to Wall Street and the Intelligence-Security Military Industrial Complex . Rather than reduce the budgets of the US military and the National Security complex Obama is trying to sell one compromise after another with the Republican Party and the Rich and powerful as he ignores the needs of millions of Americans.

President Obama has continued and in a number of cases expanded and doubled down on many of the worst Bush policies under the guise of National Security and in the so-called Global War on Terror which more and more looks like the American Empire expanding and exerting its power over larger areas of the world. Obama like those presidents before him believes that America has the right to intervene militarily in whatever nation it wants to.

The American ethos has been that it does not recognize the sovereignty of other nations and that it believes International Law does not apply to America. Yet the Liberal and Progressive voices in the USA are mostly silent afraid of offending President Obama and /or the Democratic Party. Obama has proven himself time and again as the defender not of change but of the status quo.

At the moment Obama is on the Gun Control bandwagon which makes him look like he's taking bold action but in fact on numerous other issues he is not that much better than George W. Bush. Obama 's foreign policies seem to follow in lockstep with the Neoconservative foreign and domestic policies the Neoconservatives championed during the Bush administration.

As we saw during the bigger protests by the Occupy Movement Obama saw nothing wrong with the police forces brutally cracking down on the protesters in a similar fashion though not as deadly as was done in the  nation of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, Libya, Syria and Iran etc But the motives in the USA and in those aforementioned nations are the same to crush dissent to promote the idea that those protesting are the one's committing violence and that protesters are considered unAmerican and even as they were during protests against the War in Iraq or the War in Vietnam are seen as anti-American and as somehow giving aid and comfort to America's enemies .

Obama shows his dismissive attitude towards the Occupy Movement and the unwarranted arrestss of over 4,000 Occupy Protesters . Obama feigns his concern which of course doesn't include federal investigations of the police crackdown on Occupy Wall Street protests.

We saw the same sort of police response to protesters during the Civil Rights Movement and even then the federal government rarely too action against specific police officers or police forces often ignoring these incidents until the outcry was too great and they were forced to respond.

OBAMA AND OCCUPY WALL STREET POLICE BRUTALITY

You have to love the Occupy Wall Street movement's growing presence, and you also have to love Obama's classy, thoughtful, and seemingly concerned response to the group that mic checked him yesterday, as well as his response to some of the concerns of the Occupy movement later in his speech.

As Beth Buczynzski of sister site Insteading and of Care2 writes, "The President didn't belittle the protesters by trying to shout over them as so many others have done. Instead, he silenced the crowd's boos and allowed the OWS group to deliver its message."

Nonetheless, it's important to note that Obama made widely televised remarks earlier this year saying that violence should not be used on protesters in Egypt. However, despite tons of police brutality and over 4,000 arrests in the U.S. in response to the Occupy movement, Obama hasn't made any similar statements.
Note that there has been loss of life in the Occupy movement now — a kicked and pepper-sprayed pregnant woman has lost her child; an 84-year-old woman has also been pepper sprayed; and an Iraq war veteran has had his skull fractured; and much more violence has been inflicted upon peaceful protesters - 23 November 2011.

Occupy Oakland Police Brutality

Shocking police brutality at Berkeley 11/9/11 Occupy Wall Street

Is this sort of attack on American dissidents also a part of Obama's legacy . Obama defends police across the USA in their most egregious acts by his silence and by not putting pressure on the Department of Justice to address these issues in a timely and real fashion and not merely another Obama Public Relations Photo-op while he gives a wink and a nod to the police across the USA.

And here's an indictment against the NYPD and their brutal treatment of Occupy protesters and by extension of the Obama administration of taking no stand during the last year and half of Occupy protests being brutally stomped out in a federally led coordinated attack on Occupy protests..

But in reality it is no surprise that Obama is almost always on the side of the status quo and the elites and including police forces no matter what they do. Lawrence O'Donnell Attacks the NYPD and other American police forces who believe they are above the law and unfortunately the polioce are usually right about this as Mayors, governors, legislatures, the DOJ, the FBI and the Federal government including the White House ignore or cover up such activities .
Occupy Wall Street- MSNBC Reporter SLAMS NYPD Police Brutality!!! Uploaded on 4 Dec 2011 September 26, 2011 MSNBC OMG MSNBC reporter is going OFF! A Rant Like You've Never Heard Before! 100 Million Thumbs UP!!! Lets support this guy (who will probably lose his job or end up "committing suicide" mysteriously in the next 5 years..sigh) He's standing up for what's Right! (And standing Against all thats Wrong!) LETS SUPPORT HIM! SPREAD SPREAD SPREAD!!

Unfortunately with President Obama as president many progressives and liberals give Obama a free pass when he engages in tactics similar to those of the former Bush Regime. Whenever Bush was discovered to be allowing torture, renditions, committing various atrocities and ignoring the unwarranted deaths of thousands or hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians Progressives and Liberals took President Bush to task in the media and organizing protest marches..

But when President Obama ignores international law or even the laws of the USA abusing POWs or individuals arrested for leaking information to the press and the public or his targeted Assassinations and the wanton murder of innocent civilians and expanding the Global War On Terror or supporting extremist in various countries ie Libya, Syria etc.the Progressives and liberals who should be outraged instead act as defenders of any and all policies of the Obama administration.

When it comes to the attacks on Occupy by police forces we discover that the crackdown was a result of a coordinated disinformation propaganda assault on Occupy protests across the USA. It seems inconceivable that Obama was not aware of this coordinated action on the part of the FBI, Homeland Security and other federal departments, agencies and government staff members which may in fact include members of the executive branch and the President Himself.

The problem of police brutality in the USA goes beyond just the Occupy Protests as the police forces have become militarized and see themselves at war with a significant portion of America's citizens- ie poor and black and Latino etc.
