New Romney Video "Bain Would Harvest Companies For Profit" Not Job Creation & Obama Regime At War With US Citizens and Civilians In Targeted Nations

Protester in Guy Fox mask demanding the release of Julian Assange of Wikileaks. Unfortunately President Obama is no friend of dissidents and so has designated Assange and Wikileaks and all its staff and those who give aid to Wikileaks are now branded as terrorists just like Al Qaeda and any who support Al Qaeda in any way shape or form. President Obama has by his actions shown  he believes in  giving greater pwer to the executive and in American Exceptionalism and Manifest Destiny and in America being blessed by God and therefore doing God's Work. So in many ways he is no different than former President George W. Bush  or Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

“President Obama’s action today is a blight on his legacy because he will forever be known as the president who signed indefinite detention without charge or trial into law.”

“For the first time in American history, we have a law authorizing the worldwide and indefinite military detention of people captured far from any battlefield. The NDAA has no temporal or geographic limitations. It is completely at odds with our values, violates the Constitution, and corrodes our Nation’s commitment to the rule of law.”

“Any hope that the Obama administration would roll back the constitutional excesses of George Bush in the war on terror was extinguished today.”
Quote from ACLU on Obama signing the law allowing for Indefinte detention

Child Soldier who was illegalyy and immorally held prisoner at Guantanamo since he was 15 has just been released fromm Guantanamo but will be held in prison in Canada. He was releasd after years of physical and psychological abuse because he had taken part in fighting in Afghanistan due to pressure from his own father and other adults. But George W. Bush and Obama both have taken issue with the "Child Soldier " designation.

* Mitt Romney business acumen aimed at profit not jobs

* CNN allows right wing propagandist Dinesh D'Souza to make objectively false claims about Obama being unAmerican and an agent of Islamic extremists.

NEW ROMNEY VIDEO: In 1985, He Said Bain Would "Harvest" Companies for Profits : This clip shows the young CEO focusing on businesses as targets for his investors, not as job creators or community stakeholders. By David Corn at Mother Jones,Sep. 27,2012

Campaigning for the presidency, Mitt Romney has pointed to his stint as the founder and manager of Bain Capital, a private equity firm, as proof he can rev up the US economy and create jobs at a faster clip than President Barack Obama. Last year, while stumping in Florida, Romney declared, "You'd have a president who has spent his life in business—small business, big business—and who knows something about how jobs are created and how we compete around the world." His campaign spokeswoman, Andrea Saul, has said that Romney's Bain days afford him more expertise than Obama to "focus on job creation and turn around our nation's faltering economy." Romney has even claimed that during his tenure at Bain, "we were able to help create over 100,000 jobs." In his acceptance speech at the Republican convention, Romney smacked Obama for having "almost no experience working in a business" and tied that to the sluggish recovery.

But at Bain, Romney's top priority wasn't to boost employment. As the Wall Street Journal recently noted, creating jobs "wasn't the aim of Bain or other private-equity firms, which measure success by returns produced for investors." And, the newspaper reported, Romney's 100,000-jobs claim is tough to evaluate.

Mother Jones has obtained a video from 1985 in which Romney, describing Bain's formation, showed how he viewed the firm's mission. He explained that its goal was to identify potential and hidden value in companies, buy significant stakes in these businesses, and then "harvest them at a significant profit" within five to eight years.

The video was included in a CD-ROM created in 1998 to mark the 25th anniversary of Bain & Company, the consulting firm that gave birth to Bain Capital. Here is the full clip, as it appeared on that CD-ROM (the editing occurred within the original):

You would think after President Obama has defended the use of deadly Drone attacks along the Afghanistan Pakistan border tribal regions and Obama under the cover of NATO and using humanitarian concerns as a rationalization for carpet bombing Libya and sabre rattling about possible bombing and invasion of iran and exaggerating and Demonizing the Iranian Regime and its threat to World Peace or America's ego and hegemony that few would question his tough stance on the Global War on Terrorism .

As in domestic policies Obama's right wing critics are reluctant and refuse to acknowlege that any of Obama's policies and actions meet their standards even though Obama once in office in 2009 continued the failed policies of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. The GOP and Right wing ignore the fact that Obama allows American personnel to abuse and torture so called "detainees" who are actually POWs and should be treated as such under International Law or at least by the requirements of Human decency and justice.

CNN Lets Dinesh D'Souza Peddle Conspiracy Theory That Obama Is "Anti-American" Media Matters, Sept. 28, 2012

Conservative pundit Dinesh D'Souza appeared on CNN this morning to reinforce the message of his error-laden and factually inaccurate movie, 2016: Obama's America, attacking President Obama as "anti-American" and claiming he has "embraced a Third World ideology."

While CNN host Zoraida Sambolin pressed D'Souza to explain his accusations, she offered no pushback to D'Souza's outlandish claims about Obama's character nor did she point out the discredited claims contained in his movie

...Indeed, 2016 is rife with basic factual errors and logical inconsistencies:
■The film attacks Obama for failing to "lift a finger to help" his "destitute" Kenyan half-brother George (who has said he chooses to live in poverty)

■The film falsely claims Obama "block[ed]" the Keystone pipeline

■The film falsely claims Obama loaned "billions of dollars" to Brazil to pursue offshore drilling

■The film gives credence to the paranoid theory of a "United States of Islam"

■The film fearmongers about Iran's nuclear ambitions and falsely attacks Obama for doing "nothing" to impede Iran's nuclear progress

■The film attacks Obama for his support of the new START Treaty, which seeks to reduce nuclear stockpiles globally, and his vision of a world without nuclear weapons. But this was President Reagan's dream when he proposed the original START treaty, a fact the film doesn't mention.

The film is based on D'Souza's book, The Roots of Obama's Rage, which was also filled with false and misleading claims.

The GOP and rightwing 's allegations that Obama is somehow soft on terrorism and may even be secretly on the side Islamic extremist is not supported by the facts. As we see Obama has revved up the Drone attacks , spying on American citizens, alleging Julian Assange and Bradley Manning are enemies of the USA.

I am not here trying to defend these actions by president Obama but simply noting the fallaciousness of the GOP and Right wing allegations against Obama are not grounded in actual facts. These are in fact actions which should be deplored and attacked by liberals and progressives and anyone concerned about the USA expanding its Empire and becoming the most dangerous nation on earth and not Iran, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan ,Pakistan etc.

" Living Under Drones -- Chilling First-Hand Testimony of Escalating Drone Attacks by the US :Drones unleash shocking psychological and social damage to whole families and communities, along with the horrific deaths of many innocents." by John Amick ,Warcost.org via Alternet.org. Sept. 28, 2012

Brave New Foundation has the honor of releasing a new video this week to accompany a seminal report by human rights law experts at Stanford and New York University law schools. The report, entitled “ Living Under Drones ” presents chilling first-hand testimony from Pakistani civilians on the humanitarian and security costs of escalating drone attacks by the United States. The report uncovers civilian deaths, and shocking psychological and social damage to whole families and communities – where people are literally scared to leave their homes because of drones flying overhead 24 hours a day.

This report continues to call into question the U.S. strategy of drone strikes, and presents evidence of profound humanitarian consequences as well as concerns that the strikes actually may have adverse security impacts by fomenting anger against the U.S.

The report is based on nine months of research, including two investigations in Pakistan. The Stanford-NYU research team interviewed over 130 individuals, including civilians who traveled out of the largely inaccessible region of North Waziristan to meet with the researchers. They also interviewed medical doctors who treated strike victims, and humanitarian and journalist professionals who worked in drone impacted areas.

Brave New Foundation is committed to shedding light on the true impact of U.S. drones, and with this video we hope to help share the voices – from the other side of the globe – of those most impacted by the policies of our government. Our campaign War Costs has a coming full-length film exposing the truth about drones, and additionally we are working on a number of shorter videos. We are traveling soon to Pakistan ourselves to collect more stories.

As U.S. citizens, we feel a responsibility to know the real impact of the policies of our government. We hope you will join us at www.WarCosts.com to be part of this fight for a more humane and just world.

Warrantless Electonic Surveillance has increased alarmingly under the Obama Regime.

" ACLU: Docs Reveal "Exponential" Growth of Domestic Spying New Justice Department documents show huge increase in warrantless electronic surveillance "- Common Dreams staff ,Sept. 29, 2012

The release of new Department of Justice documents obtained by the ACLU reveal that federal law enforcement agencies are increasingly monitoring Americans’ electronic communications, and doing so without warrants, sufficient oversight, or meaningful accountability.

Though there is a long history of legal (and not so legal) surveillance by federal and local authorities, the new documents—released by the DOJ following Freedom of Information Act requests by the ACLU and presented in this report—show that under the Obama administration, the rate of surveillance has risen "exponentially" in many key areas, including information gathered from telephone, email, and other Internet communications

and more evidence that President Obama is anything but soft on terrorism or on America's alleged enemies such as Wikileaks and its head Julian Assange and Bradley Manning who allegedly gave government documents to Wikileaks.

US Designates Wikileaks "Enemy of the State" Documents show US policy puts media outlet in same legal category as violent terrorist groups - Common Dreams staff, Sept. 27,2012

Military documents (pdf) obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request and posted online by Wikileaks show that the US government has designated the whistleblower website and its founder Julian Assange as "enemies of the state"—the same legal category as Al Qaeda and other foreign military adversaries

As the Sydney Morning Herald reports:

The documents, some originally classified "Secret/NoForn" - not releasable to non-US nationals - record a probe by the air force's Office of Special Investigations into a cyber systems analyst based in Britain who allegedly expressed support for WikiLeaks and attended pro-Assange demonstrations in London.

The counter-intelligence investigation focused on whether the analyst, who had a top-secret security clearance and access to the US military's Secret Internet Protocol Router network, had disclosed classified or sensitive information to WikiLeaks supporters, described as an "anti-US and/or anti-military group".

The suspected offence was "communicating with the enemy, 104-D", an article in the US Uniform Code of Military Justice that prohibits military personnel from "communicating, corresponding or holding intercourse with the enemy".

Mr Assange's US attorney, Michael Ratner, told the Herald that designating WikiLeaks an "enemy" would have serious implications for the WikiLeaks publisher if his fears of being extradited to the US were realized.

Mr Ratner stipulated that under US law it would most likely have been considered criminal for the US Air Force analyst to communicate classified material to journalists and publishers, but those journalists and publishers would not have been considered the enemy or prosecuted.

And Obama justifies the use of certain interrogation techniques which in fact constitute torture under international law.

Unfortunately many supporters of Obama either just believe whatever Obama says without examining his actions and so are satified that with Obama as president torture is no longer used by US personnel on so called detainees or they just don't see torture as an issue in a time of war -The Global War On Terror" and the war on dissidents and vocal criticsw..

Alleged Whistleblower Bradley manning for instance was and is a victim of torure ie sleep deprivation, sensory overload, prolonged solitary confinement (separation)etc.

The Canadia child soldier Omar Khadr who was just released from Guantanamo Bay after giving what appears to be a false confession after ten years in prison having been tortured and abused by US personnel during the the Bush administration and which was continued without missing a beat under president Obama's administration.

Omar Khadr was captured in Afghanistan when he was 15 and under International Law he was supposed to be designated as a "child Soldier" and therefore not responsible for his actions since he was doing what his father and other adults told him was his duty. So he was honoring the wishes of his elders and for obeying his father and mother he was held in prison for a decade. He was denied his rights to an attorney or to be given medical help by someone not connected with the US military or other government agency, he was held in indefinite detention . Those with power over him managed to get him to make a false confession ala The Spanish inquisition .

But in America there are even liberals and Democrats who see nothing wrong with mistreating a 15 year old child who was captured on a battle field and yet the same people get all upset over some lunatic such as Kony using "child Soldiers" and characterize those children as victims not perpertrators . So shouldn't this also apply to children like Omar Khadr who was being used by Al Qaeda or the Taliban or other such terrorist organizations.

( Last Westerner at Guantanamo ‘returning to Canada’ By Agence France-Presse , via Raw Story, September 29, 2012

As for the continuing of a number of interrogation techniques deemed by International Law as constituting torture President Obama has played fast and loose with erroneous and factually challenged claims that by following the US Army Field Manual that torture would no longer be tolerated by his administration.

What Obama does not admit publicly is that he believes that certain Interrogation Techniques deemed as constituing torture by International Law he has unilaterally just as Bush did before him decided these Interrogation Techniques such as prolonged sleep deprivation, verbal assaults, prolonged solitary confinement , and techniques which rely on sensory deprivation and sensory overload are not torture when in fact they are.

So it is a bit of a red herring or whatevr metaphor you want to raise concerns that Mitt Romney as president would be more inclined to use torture than President Obama. Obama only made a select few techniques unlawful such as waterboarding or pretend executions or maybe electrical shock to the testicles but everything else is usable and legal according to Obama even if this goes against the Geneva Conventions or the special conventions on the use of torture.

How the U.S. Army's Field Manual Codified Torture -- and Still Does
Buried in Appendix M of the Army Field Manual, the Guantanamo virus is spreading, and eradicating it will require all of us to spread the word. by Jeffrey S. Kaye via Alternet.org, Jan. 6, 2009

In early September 2006, the U.S. Department of Defense, reeling from at least a dozen investigations into detainee abuse by interrogators, released Directive 2310.01E. This directive was advertised as an overhaul and improvement on earlier detainee operations and included a newly rewritten Army Field Manual for Human Intelligence Collector Operations (FM-2-22-3). This guidebook for interrogators was meant to set a humane standard for U.S. interrogators worldwide, a standard that was respectful of the Geneva Conventions and other U.S. and international laws concerning treatment of prisoners.

While George W. Bush was signing a presidential directive allowing the CIA to conduct other, secret "enhanced interrogation techniques," which may or may not have included waterboarding, the new AFM was sold to the public as a return to civilized norms, in regards to interrogation.

Before long, opponents of U.S. torture policy were championing the new AFM as an appropriate "single-standard" model of detainee treatment. Support for implementing the revised AFM, as a replacement for the hated "enhanced" techniques earlier championed by Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and the CIA, began to appear in legislation out of Congress, in the literature of human-rights organizations and in newspaper editorials. Some rights groups have felt the new AFM offered some improvements by banning repellent interrogation tactics, such as waterboarding, use of nudity, military dogs and stress positions. It was believed the AFM cemented the concept of command responsibility for infractions of the law.

There was only one problem: the AFM did not eliminate torture. Despite what it said, it did not adhere to the Geneva Conventions. Even worse, it took the standard operating procedure of Camp Delta at Guantanamo Bay and threatened to expand it all over the world.

The President of the National Lawyers Guild Marjorie Cohn has stated that portions of the AFM protocol, especially the use of isolation and prolonged sleep deprivation, constitutes cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment and is illegal under the Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions, the U.N. Convention Against Torture and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. Hina Shamsi, an attorney with the ACLU's National Security Project, has stated that portions of the AFM are "deeply problematic" and "would likely violate the War Crimes Act and Geneva," and at the very least "leave the door open for legal liability." Physicians for Human Rights and the Constitution Project have publicly called for the removal of problematic and abusive techniques from the AFM.

Yet, the interrogation manual is still praised by politicians, including then-presidential candidate Barack Obama, who in December 2007 said he would "have the Army Field Manual govern interrogation techniques for all United States Government personnel and contractors."

...Appendix M, titled "Restricted Interrogation Technique -- Separation," misrepresents itself from the very beginning. (One wonders if it was rewritten from an earlier draft, at a time when the Pentagon wanted to keep these procedures classified.) It is not actually a technique (singular), but a set of techniques, though one has to read deeply into its 10 pages of text and be somewhat sophisticated in the history of psychological torture procedures, to assemble a full view of the viral program.

(on sparation or Isolation -used in the case of Bradley manning)

...The primary technique of the separation procedure is the physical isolation of the prisoner for up to 30 days, with further isolation possible upon approval of higher-ups. According to scientific expert Stuart Grassian, the use of isolation, or solitary confinement, causes "severe psychiatric harm." Some detainees will "suffer permanent harm as a result of such confinement." As long ago as 1961, psychiatrist Lawrence Hinkle Jr. wrote in a textbook on interrogations (emphasis added):

It is well known that prisoners, especially if they have not been isolated before, may develop a syndrome similar in most of its features to the "brain syndrome"… they cease to care about their utterances, dress and cleanliness. They become dulled, apathetic and depressed. In due time they become disoriented and confused; their memories become defective, and they experience hallucinations and delusions….

Classically, isolation has been used as a means of "making a man talk," simply because it is so often associated with a deterioration of thinking and behavior and is accompanied by an intense need for companionship and for talk. From the interrogator's viewpoint it has seemed to be the ideal way of "breaking down" a prisoner, because, to the unsophisticated, it seems to create precisely the state that the interrogator desires … However, the effect of isolation upon the brain function of the prisoner is much like that which occurs if he is beaten, starved or deprived of sleep.

Those prisoners who cannot be secured in sufficient isolation, presumably at a forward interrogation site, will be secured via "Field Expedient Separation," during which a both blindfold and earmuffs are put on a detainee for up to 12 hours. Again this is expandable upon official approval. The AFM warns that care must be taken to protect the blindfolded, earmuffed prisoner from self-injury, and the prisoner must be medically monitored. The AFM doesn't explain why this is necessary, but the reason is that such sensory deprivation is intolerable for some people and can lead to hallucinations and self-injurious behavior. The inclusion of a procedure that so obviously needs medical monitoring should be a red flag that it violates basic humane treatment.

The other main use of torture is Appendix M's provision for prolonged sleep deprivation, holding a prisoner to no more than four hours of sleep per night for 30 days. As with isolation and perceptual deprivation, this procedure can be prolonged with official approval. Sleep deprivation is used to break an individual down both physically and mentally. The literature on the corrosive effects of sleep deprivation is not difficult to find. Four hours of sleep per day for a month will decrease thyrotropin secretion and increase levels of cortisol, causing stress and high blood pressure. It impairs verbal processing and complex problem solving. Chronic sleep deprivation is "associated with irritability, depression and a reduced sense of well-being."

The AFM's Appendix M makes a lot of noise about forbidding sensory deprivation, then provides a definition of same that would describe none but the most extreme examples of sensory deprivation, all the while allowing its practice upon prisoners. Similarly, the document claims it is consistent with the Geneva Conventions and other human rights documents. It denies that prisoners held under separation will be treated to "excessive noise," "excessive dampness" or "excessive or inadequate heat, light or ventilation." But rather than appear convincing, these caveats seem to direct the interrogation team to just those kinds of procedures that should be used, as long as it is not judged "excessive." At the September 2006 briefing, Kimmons assured reporters that Appendix M had been legally vetted by "senior DOD figures at the secretarial level, by the Joint Staff, by each of the combatant commanders and their legal advisers, by each of the service secretaries and service chiefs and their legal advisers, in addition to the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency and the director of National Intelligence, who coordinated laterally with the CIA." It was also "favorably reviewed" by Attorney General Alberto Gonzales' Justice Department. This is not a legal vetting that inspires much confidence.

The total effect of combining all the procedures enumerated above, particularly in an atmosphere of fear and futility or hopelessness, is to produce a state not dissimilar to that described by Albert Biderman in his famous Chart of Coercion, as described elsewhere by this author and by Scott Shane of the New York Times. Social psychologist Biderman had studied the techniques of Soviet, Chinese and Korean interrogators and constructed a model of coercive interrogation that was later used by SERE interrogators at Guantanamo (as described above). Biderman's Chart of Coercion enumerates the key abusive techniques as isolation, monopolization of perception, induced debilitation and exhaustion, threats, occasional indulgences, demonstrating "omnipotence" and "omniscience" (i.e., complete control over a prisoner's fate), degradation and enforcement of trivial demands. What we have here, in sum, is what has come to be known in the 21st century as the Guantanamo model.

Notes:

Video of Cenk Uygur at TYT commenting onObama's signing of what is essentially "The King's Warrant" allowing for indefinite detention of anyone citizen or not. Odd a bit ironic wasn't this one of the issues the 13 colonies raised objections to as part of their need to rebel against the British authorities.

Julian Assange Speaks to The United Nations and Obama Declares Assange America's No. 1 Enemy To Be Taken Dead or Alive

President Obama once again makes a flowery speech
disingenuosly and audaciously claiming that  He and America are always on the side of freedom and was and is on the side of the Arab Sping reform movement .

Meanwhile Obama is still giving orders to kill innocent citizens in othe countries such as Afghanistan, Libya, Iraq all under the pretext of The Global War On Terror and bringing freedom and democracy to the Middle East and other parts of the world.

It is difficult for anyone outside the West to take Obama seriously and why should they. Since day one Obama has acted as badly and as criminaly as the former Bush/Cheney Regime .

This was just more empty rhetoric on the part of Obama which ignores the current policies and actions which are now part of  the historical record of the USA and Obama himself.

Meanwhile in the USA under the orders of President Obama Bradley Manning the alleged leaker of US gov't documents to Wikileaks has been indefinitly detained and abused and tortured in American prisons .

Julian Assange to UN: 'US trying to erect national secrecy regime' (Full version)

Published on Sep 27, 2012 by Russia Today

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has called on the United States to move from words to actions, and put an end to its persecution of WikiLeaks, its people and its sources

What is most troublsome is that the USA and the Obama administration and the mainstream media have learned nothing from the fiasco in Iraq.

In fact Obama called the Iraq invasion and occupation even though a million Iraqi citizens died  a success story since the US left Iraq ostensibly last december.

But the main reason Obama decided to withdraw from Iraq because the Iraqi government refused to extend  US troops and personnel immunity  from prosecution by the Iraqi government or courts .

" WikiLeaks Declared 'Enemy' In US Military Documents, Australian Newspaper Reports "By Jack Mirkinson Huffington Post, Sept. 27, 2012

The United States has declared WikiLeaks and its founder Julian Assange to be an "enemy," an Australian newspaper reported Wednesday.

The Sydney Morning Herald, which has been reporting for months on behind-the-scenes government communications about Assange, wrote that declassified Air Force documents showed that military employees found to have been in contact with WikiLeaks personnel could be charged with "communicating with the enemy."

The maximum punishment for communicating with the enemy is death. The Herald wrote that this is the same classification given to Al Qaeda or the Taliban.

The revelation will do little to quell fears among WikiLeaks supporters about the American view of the organization. One of the reasons Julian Assange says he is still holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London is that he fears being extradited to America. Though there has been fierce debate over whether this could occur, and whether Assange is instead attempting to avoid a potential sex crimes prosecution in Sweden, it is clear he is no friend of the US government.

The Herald has also reported that Australian diplomats believe the American government has been investigating a possible prosecution of Assange for over a year,

Assange is not keeping quiet. Just on Wednesday, he spoke via video satellite to a meeting of the United Nations.

Paul Ryan a devotee of Ayn Rand up til a couple of months ago
Some video clips of critics of Ayn Rand both conservative and liberal.

VP candidate Paul Ryan is a devotee or if you like "True Believer " in the philosophy of ultra-conservative libertarian Ayn Rand.  Once Ryan was chosen as running mate with Mitt Romney and people began questioning his devotion to Ayn Rand's ideology he has tried publicly to put some distance between himself and the anti-Religion , anti-Altruism, anti-government ,pro-abortion libertarian extremist philosophy of Ayn Rand .

Ayn Rand preached that "selfishness" is a higher value then "altruism" . That is committing one's self to an action which will benefit other people and will not  have immediate or long term benefit for the person performing this action of self-sacrifice is to Ayn Rand the worst thing one could do since it has no payoff.

Here's a funny bit about Ayn Rand in which arch-conservative William F. Buckley attacks her philosophy and notes correctly in my opinion how boring her novel Atlas Shrugged is and how it lacks any humanity . It is written as if by a machine and has nothing positive to say except for the elite she is writing about who now do not have to feel guilty about anything they do because once in their rightful positions they will shape a new reality by shaping or changing the future to fit their whims.

William Buckley on Ayn Rand & Atlas Shrugged

 Uploaded by

Talking to Rose, patron-saint of the conservative movement , Bill buckley chats about ayn and her magnum opus atlas shrugged. On atlas shrugged, WFB:"I had to flog myself to read it." On ayn, WFB : "Her scorn for charity, for altruism was such as to build up an unfeeling system"

And here are some examples of some scathing comments on Ayn Rand as philosopher and novelist by conservatives Christopher Hitchens and William F. Buckley Jr. and liberal Ralph Nader .

Her philosophy is without any elitist and disparages in her mind useless emotions and actions such as compassion for the plight of those less fortunnate and acts of altruism to help others when you can from holding a door open for someone behind you or giving some spare change to some destitute homeless individual or donating money or other goods to help people experiencing a natural disaster or a war whether in your own community or a community hundreds of miles away or even on the other side of the globe such as floods, TZunami ,volcanic eruption , hurricanes .

To help out as an individuals or as part of an NGO or by one's own government Ayn would find this pointless unless there is something to be gained by the individual donor or volunteer . So what are ostensibly altruistic acts may in fact be rather calculated for whatever reason ie seeking praise from others thereby boosting one's elf esteem or to help one to be more successful to move up the chain of command in whatever organization one is involved in .

In terms of ethical or moral theories Ayn Rand's objectivism and her ideology of selfishness in which one commits to an action based upon some self-serving benifits to be derived from the action is akin to what I consider to be the morally baknrupt  philosophy of act-utilitarianism by which each individual act is weighed for its costs to the indivual to what benefit they may receive.

David Frum Calls the GOP Brain Dead for Their Theatrics Over the Stimulus Bill

Uploaded by on Feb 19, 2009
On 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. David Frum calls the GOP brain dead for their theatrics over the stimulus bill and says they should be having policy debates instead. The trouble with his argument is that they did have those policy debates. They got some tax cuts into the bill, and tax cuts aren't going to get our economy out of the mess it's in.

Conservative David Frum became person non grata in the conservative movement several years ago when he criticized the GOP for being overly influenced by bombastic, arrogant, race-baiting, Obama hating , talk radio star Rush Limbaugh which to the right was considered blasphemey .

Matthews To David Frum On Rush Limbaugh "Have You Had Any Physical Threats"

But he went further to attack the influence of Fox News on the Republican party which in both cases has led the Republicans to adopt a strident and undemocratic tone as they merely used tactics of obstructionism against any actions the Obama administration might take without any interest on the part of the GOP to come up with a workable compromise. Compromise became a dirty word associated in the minds of conservative with appeasement which they saw as giving into their enemies . So from the beginning Rush Limbaugh and John Boener etc. main interest was to make sure Obama was a one term president by doing all they could to ensure Obama was not able to pass legilation to help out average wotking people and the poor in these hard economic times. They stopped Obama again and again from pass any real reform legislation even those reforms which before the 2008 election the GOP also believed in. So the GOP has become the party of extremists and the party of "NO".

To a great extent one could refer to the Republicans as no longer acting like responsible elected officials who would put the naytion before their partisan concerns. In fact they would prefer that the economic situation worsen to prove Obamas policies were not working.

In this next article David Frum takes down uberconservative abrasive Michelle Malkin who wrote a book defending America in WWII for puting Japanese Americans into concentration camps.
Frum takes issue with her and other Republicans bending over backwards to defend Mitt Romney's 47% remark which was recorded secretly in which Romney states flat out as a fact that 47% of Americans are lazy moochers including children, college students, seniors , disabled war veterans and of course the majority of African Americans and Hispanic Americans.
Frumm is questioning the wisdom of other Republicans defending this remark rather than put another spin on it or ignore but instead Right-wings loons are as usual doubling down.

Why Does Michelle Malkin Hate Half Her Country?
by David Frum
, at The Daily Beast ,Sep 21,2012

xxxx I'm about to quote something pretty deplorable, but not in order to deplore it. It is from the inimitable Michelle Malkin. (And when I say inimitable, I mean it literally. I confess: whenever I wanted a character in Patriots to say something truly over the top, I put a small portion of a Michelle Malkin transcript in his/her mouth. I could not - would not have dared - to invent anything near so vituperative.)

Here’s the quote that has liberal finger-waggers and Republican wet-finger-in-the-wind windbags in meltdown mode:

“There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what,” Romney explained to an audience member who asked how the candidate was going to change the “we’ll take care of you” mentality of Obama voters. “All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it. And they will vote for this president no matter what.”
This portion of voters consists of “people who pay no income tax,” Romney explained. “I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”

He’s talking, of course, about the Peggy the Moochers and Henrietta Hugheses of the world: savior-based Obama supporters for whom the cult of personality trumps all else. He’s talking about the Sandra Flukes and Julias of the world: Nanny State grievance-mongers who have been spoon-fed identity politics and victim Olympics from preschool through grad school and beyond. And he’s talking about the encrusted entitlement clientele who range from the Section 8 housing mob in Atlanta who caused a near-riot to the irresponsible, debt-ridden homeowners who mortgaged themselves into oblivion and want their bailout now, now, now.

The question is not to deplore, but to understand. Where do emotions like these come from? How is it that so many who seem to be such golden winners of life's lottery manage to generate so much hatred, fear, and contempt for those who have fared less well? It would make an ugly kind of sense if such rage were expressed by those who had less against those who had more. But who stands at the highest window in the building to drop slop onto the heads of the unfortunates standing 10 or 12 stories below?

and in another article David Frum as an outlier takes on other members of the Republica/Conservative establishment.

The Sinister Message Behind Romney's "Gaffe"by David Frum at The Daily Beast .Sep 18, 2012

David Brooks blames the Romney 47% comments on maladroitness: the awkward mis-expression of a man pretending to be something he's not.

Likely so.

But they also reveal that Romney has been reshaped by this campaign. The dread to which Romney gives voice in his Boca Raton speech - that "makers" are about to be electorally overwhelmed by "takers" - is a dread expressed again and again by conservative media and conservative thought-leaders. "Democracy is two lions and a lamb voting on what's for dinner": how often have we heard that old country-club quip repeated these past four years? Only this time, the quip is repeated not as a joke, but with real fear.

The background to so much of the politics of the past four years is the mood of apocalyptic terror that has gripped so much of the American upper class.

Hucksters of all kinds have battened on this terror. They tell them that free enterprise is under attack; that Obama is a socialist, a Marxist, a fascist, an anti-colonialist. Only by donating to my think tank, buying my book, watching my network, going to my movie, can you - can we - stop him before he seizes everything to give to his base of "bums," as Charles Murray memorably called them.

And what makes it all both so heart-rending and so outrageous is that all this is occurring at a time when economically disadvantaged Americans have never been so demoralized and passive, never exerted less political clout. No Coxey's army is marching on Washington, no sit-down strikes are paralyzing factories, no squatters are moving onto farmer's fields. Occupy Wall Street immediately fizzled, there is no protest party of the political left.

The only radical mass movement in this country is the Tea Party, a movement to defend the interests of elderly incumbent beneficiaries of the existing welfare state. Against that movement is a government of liberal technocrats dependent on campaign donations from a different faction of the American super-rich than that which backs Mitt Romney himself.

From the greatest crisis of capitalism since the 1930s, the rights and perquisites of wealth have emerged undiminished - and the central issue in this election is whether those rights and perquisites shall be enhanced still more, or whether they should be allowed to slip back to the level that prevailed during the dot.com boom.

Yet even so, the rich and the old are scared witless! Watch the trailer of Dinesh D'Souza's new movie to glimpse into their mental universe: chanting swarthy mobs, churches and banks under attack, angry black people grabbing at other people's houses.

It's all a scam, but it's a spectacularly effective scam. Mitt Romney tried to make use of the scam, and now instead has fallen victim to it himself.

I'd say somebody should write a book about all, but then I remember: somebody already did.

Jon Stewart Obama Luckiest Dude on Earth And Ayn Rand Devotee Paul Ryan's Gaffes & Outright Lies

Belated Update  : Having issues with my computer , as Maxwell Smart said "Sorry about that chief."

Today's Topics:

* Jon Stewart Obama the luckiest Dude on the Planet

* Pro-Obama campaign attacks Mitt Romney with his own words

* Paul Ryan is a devotee of atheist pro-abortion Ayn Rand and not Jesus or Pat Roberson

* Ayn Rand's public statements on Religion and God as the enemy of human reason and moral choices and  her libertarian views on Homosexuality, abortion, suicide, euthanasia and the purpose of life.

* Ayn Rand was anti-Religion stating that religion was not a rational system of belief and was at odds with reason itself.

Ayn Rand was against the pro-life anti-abortion movement and believed homosexuality is not any business of the state .

Ayn Rand further believed abortion should be a woman's right and that the state had no right to interfere with an individuals decision to abort or not.

In part what we are witnessing is the clash of values and policies and agenda of the secular Libertarians and the devotees (Neocons) of the philosopher Leo Strauss and or Ayn Rand coming up against the values and social policies and principles of the Religious Right . For the Religious Right their attitudes on a number of social issues which are part of the culture wars such as abortion, homosexuality ,euthanasia are seen as more important then merely reducing the deficit and making changes in the taxation policies in the USA. It is also becoming clearer to those who support the Religious Right that they are merely being used and taken for granted by the leadership and spokespersons of the Republican Party.

Jon Stewart examines how Mitt Romney campaign has become a public relations disaster not just for Romney and Ryan but for the Republican Party .

With Romney and Ryan taking turns contradicting their own positions on various policies and daily gaffes and revelations about the two candidates and other buffoonery Obama appears to be winning the campaign without actually doing much .

Jon Stewart "Obama Luckiest Dude on the Planet"

Mitt Romney has stated very clearly that he believes 47% of Americans are recepients of government hand outs making them in effect to be "looters", "Moochers" including senior citizens, college students, children , minorities including African and Hispanic Americans and the mentally and physically disabled who are just too lazy to take responsibility for their own lives .

Democrats Unveil The Real Mitt Romney hoisted on his own petard
New ad released by the Pro-Obama Campign

Paul Ryan, Rush Limbaugh and Fox News Channel support atheist , pro-choice , materialist and hedonist Ayn Rand and yet they all claim disengenuously to favor religion and even uberconservative programs and policies of the Religious Right. Ayn Rand & GOP vs. Jesus& Christianity nbsp;  xxxxxxxx

    xxxxx

XXXXXXXX (see below for more videos of Ayn Rand explaining her philosophy in her own words and how it would effect government legislation and proposed laws. )

 ---------------------------------

What is odd about Paul Ryan being a life time devotee of atheist anti-religion anti-altruism pro-choice Ayn Rand is that at the same time the Republican party is the party for the Religious Right who claim to be followers of Jesus who preached a doctrine which is the exact opposite of what Ayn Rand believed.

Ayn Rand in her own words would not support the current Republicans or The Religious Right .

The issue for her would be if the Republicans are merely using the proposals and principles of the Religious Right to get elected without any intention of putting these Religious Right policies into legislation then she might support the Republican Party. In her views on the rights of individuals and selfishness one might justify deceiving and lying to the electorate. Neocon "Saint " Leo Strauss also believed in the use of the Big Lie and little ones to the public in order to advance the agenda and policies of the ruling elite.

Therefore we can conclude that promoting a particular viewpoint in public to achieve one's goals is one's right and may even be the duty of the ruling elite to protect itself .

In American politics over the last decade or so for instance it has become obligatory for anyone running for the presidency or the  Congress or as a head of a federal government department or for governor to assert in public their faith in God.

And here are some videos of Ayn Rand concerning such Religious Right social issues such as abortion, suicide , euthanasia, religion, Homosexuality and the purpose of Life

Ayn Rand was not just an atheist but was militantly anti-Religion stating that religion was not a rational system of belief and was at odds with reason itself. Ayn Rand was against the pro-life anti-abortion movement and believed homosexuality is not any business of the state .

Ayn Rand further believed abortion should be a woman's right and that the state had no right to interfere with an individuals decision to abort or not. xxxxxx

Ayn Rand Pro- Choice Pro-women's Reproductive Rights

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Ayn Rand said for instance contrary to Christian doctrine that according to her principles of individualism that suicide and abortion or the use of various recreational drugs are also a matter of an individual adults rational choice .

AYN RAND ON SUICIDE:Individual's Rights

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX On the issue of homosexuality Ayn Rand stated that what two consenting adults do in private in their pursuit of sexual and emotional happiness was also not the business of the state.

Ayn Rand on Homosexuality

Ayn Rand also had a different take on the " purpose of life " than Evangelical Fundamentalist Christians and others of the Religious Right.

Not quite that of Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Life more akin to the heretical materialistic anti-Jesus Prosperity Gospel . Ayn Rand relies on her own actions and not prayers to some imaginary God or Gods living in heaven or Paradise or what have you. She believed most of this Gospel or any religion was either a con job or a matter of a deluded self-appointed religious teacher or Guru like Pat Robertson, Dr, James Kennedy . James Dobson, Lou Engles, Jack Van Impe or the more obvious greedy, money grubbing religious charlatan phony conartist Benny Hinn  and many others.

Ayn Rand on the Purpose of Life

Ayn Rand also would be at odds with the Republicans and conservatives over policies concerning illegal drugs. Ayn Rand believed as most sincere libertarians do that all recreational drugs that are illegal should be made legal and sold to the citizenry for profit which would allow the individual the right to choose to use or not use any given drug .

She also saw this legalizing of all recreational drugs as business opportunities for capitalists. And she argued correctly I would say that making these drugs legal would undermine the whole underground of organized crime .

The legalization itself would have a positive effect on society and the economy and on government  because it would in effect starve the criminal organizations of their vast flow of money which also leads to the ending of a large percentage of corruption at various levels of governments in the USA and in other countries whether Mexico or Columbia or Afghanistan . All of the drug cartels and war lords in various countries would loose much of their cash flow.

This would also end most of the violence occurring close to the US/Mexican border . Billions could be saved in drug enforcent and with the costs of trials and prison terms . Millions of average Americans would no longer be stigmatized as contemptible criminals .

It would make it easier for those who are addicted to a particular drug and is causing problems for them to come forward and take part in drug addiction programs .

Ayn Rand was against all forms of charity especially any form of government assistance because it merely encouraged dependency and enabled the weak and unworthy to continue to breed creating another generation of "eaters" or "takers" as opposed to workers and producers.

So Ayn Rand militanly disagrees with the basic tenet of Christianity as found in the sermon on the Mount but also Jesus parable of the Good Samaritan and his remarks to a rich man to sell or give away all that he has if he wanted to follow Jesus . Of course many of those on the Religious Right also tend to ignore or downplay such issues . Everything else the hypocritical Evangelical Christians claim is to be taken literally but not passages that might undermine their belief in unfettered monopolistic Casino style Wall Street style Capitalism.

Given Ayn Rand's article of faith in favor of selfish individualism and elitism how can Ryan and other devotees of Ayn Rand in the GOP or conservative movement square Ayn Rand philosophy of greed and selfishness with Christianity.

Even Ayn Rand  was herself not above tinkering with her own established beliefs and principles to accomadate an issue or her opinion on a specific topic for instance : Israel versus the Palestinians .

So for all of Ayn Rand's belief in human reasoning and arguing correctly that racism in all its forms has no foundation in human reasoning she made the exception when it came to Israel versus the Palestinians she gave a rather emotional response arguing that the Palestinians and all Arabs were backward and barbaric so Israel would have the right in this cases to kill as many Arabs as possible to secure its borders.

Ayn Rand Devotee Paul Ryan Booed at AARP Convention and Ryan's Secret Tape of His Extremist Views And On Muslims Rioting "Why They Hate Us" Redux

"the words 'to make money' hold the essence of human morality." Ayn Rand

"If any civilization is to survive, it is the morality of altruism that men have to reject."  Ayn Rand

"Achievement of your happiness is the only moral purpose of your life."  Ayn Rand

Above Quotes By Paul Ryan's Hero Ayn Rand

found in article about paul Ryan and his extremist views which are based on the writings of the amoral atheist Ayn Rand Ryan's 'Secret' Tape Is Even More Extreme Than Romney's : Paul Ryan's recording reveals his radical hostility toward the nation's most popular social programs. by Richard (RJ)Eskow via Alternet.org , September 25, 2012 |

First here is a commentary about Islam and Muslims connecting the dots between America and the West actions in the Middle East and elsewhere which have resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent citizens and the violent reactions of Muslims to the dispicable film denigrating the Prophet Muhammad and Islam. The film as such may be a spark or rationalization for the violence at first blush but the violence is a response to Weatern and American Imperialism and expansionism throughout the Middle East and elsewhere around the Globe. Some one million Iraqis have died because of the unnecessary, immoral and illegal US invasion and occupation of Iraq.

Tens of thousands it is believed were killed by Western forces bombing non stop for six months the towns, villages and cities of Libya ostensibly to rid Libya os the supposedly evil /Anti-Christ Qaddafi . Americans could have taken a different route but the only solution America has for international relations like Empires before them is brute force or "Gun Boat Diplomacy".

Iraq even now is still in Chaos and much of its infrastructure has not been restored after being bombe by the occupying forces.  Obama and the Democrats and republicans and the media may think or want to believe that now Iraq is a peaceful and secure democracy but this is not the case and is rather a matter of self-delusion at the least and at the worst just another Big Lie that Obama and the elite are foisting upon their fellow Americans and the world at large.

Paul Ryan repeatedly booed by seniors at AARP convention for lying about Obama

But Isn't altruism which Paul Ryan and the GOP and his hero Ayn Rand disparages at the very heart of the Christian message as explained by Jesus in his story of The Good Samaritan who helps a fellow human being even though this person requiring aid is of a tribe, or ethnic group or of a religion or a social class abhored and despised and hated by everyone else . The other travellers on the road pass the injured person without stopping or helping .

Jesus teaches that those who did nothing to help this person are disobeying one of the key messages of Christianity and Judaism which is "to do unto others as you would have them do onto you ". And yet the extremist now controlling the Republican Party whether Secular or on the Religious Right believe you should only help yourself ot possibly family members or people of a like mind so Christians should only help fellow Christians or members of one's Alma Mater or social club or one's own tax bracket or only those who are of the same color as you etc.

But the Good Samaritan seeing only a fellow human being in need of hep does The Right Thing and helps the injured man gets him a room  at an inn and leaves money so that the injured man can stay at the Inn and be fed until he is able to leave on his own. This is far from merely dialling 911.

Unfortunately Americans in general and the Republicans and the Religious Right and the selfish self-centered libertarian Machine Men as Charlie Chaplain says in the Great Dictator

Here's some commentary by Ed Schultz and Senator Bernie Sanders on this poor performance at AARP convention by Ayn Rand devotee VP wannabe Paul Ryan

The ED Show - Paul Ryan gets booed at AARP convention

And now a secret tape of Paul Ryan has surfaced which shows what a great devotee of Ayn Rand Paul Ryan actually is.
Paul Ryan and others of a like mind believe in only doing what's advantage for one's self. To help out those in need Ryan and Rand believe is true folly. After all given the natural laws of evolution as characterized by the followers of Social Darwinism only the strong or the fittest shouls be permitted to survive. To help out those who are in nedd is to encourage their survivability and that of their descendents which leads they believe to polluting the human gene pool.

Hitler and other fanatics would have agreed with Ayn Rand to encourage the breeding of strong and fit humans and to discard the rest. Paul Ryan is certain that he and others who belong to the elite class in the USA or elsewhere must be given total freedom to act without any interference from government or other institutions or groups all in order to eventually create a purer stock of Supermen who are not bound by the ridiculous rules or morality of the Government or other institutions.

Ryan's 'Secret' Tape Is Even More Extreme Than Romney's : Paul Ryan's recording reveals his radical hostility toward the nation's most popular social programs. by Richard (RJ)Eskow via Alternet.org , September 25, 2012 |

Editor's Note: AlterNet's Adele Stan reported last week about Ryan's call for ending social security and Ryan's belief that minorities have made themselves part of a ' victimization class

When they booed Paul Ryan at the American Association of Retired Persons last week, most people didn't even know he called Medicare and Social Security "third party or socialist-based systems." Or that he said he wants to privatize them in order to "break the back" of a "collectivist philosophy."

On recently transcribed remarks from an audio recording, Ryan said his ideas and values were shaped by an extremist author who thought humanity must "reject the morality of altruism," and that his opinions on monetary policy are guided by a fictional speech which says "the words 'to make money' hold the essence of human morality."

That author says the "collectivist philosophy" Ryan ascribes to Social Security and Medicare is a "looters' credo." By that reckoning, anyone who receives assistance from the government -- including disabled combat veterans or impoverished children -- is a "looter."

"Seniors are looters." Wonder how that would have gone over at the AARP? "Disabled veterans are looters." How would that play at the local VFW?

This recording confirms that the GOP's Vice Presidential candidate is the most politically extreme major-party candidate in living memory. His views have already drawn the opposition of Catholic theologians, as well as advocates for lower-income people, the middle class, seniors, the disabled and children.

If those views were better known, they'd also alienate independents, Democrats and seniors, as well as most Republicans and Tea Party members.
And by "alienate," we mean terrify.
Ryan said this at the "Celebration":

How extreme, how far from the mainstream, was Rand's thinking? She was profoundly hostile to the idea that human beings should help one another, writing that "If any civilization is to survive, it is the morality of altruism that men have to reject." Rand also wrote that "Achievement of your happiness is the only moral purpose of your life."

Oh, and the hero of Rand's novel The Fountainhead commits an act of terrorism. He's an architect who blows up a building because he's angry that his design was changed.

I just want to speak to you a little bit about Ayn Rand and what she meant to me in my life and [in] the fight we're engaged here in Congress. I grew up on Ayn Rand ... and it taught me quite a bit about who I am and what my value systems are, and what my beliefs are.

Ryan also said "the reason I got involved in public service, by and large, if I had to credit one thinker, one person, it would be Ayn Rand."

Remember Rand's words: "If any civilization is to survive, it is the morality of altruism that men have to reject." That's the philosophy that Ryan says framed his "value systems" and beliefs...

Paul Ryan And Ayn Rand's Ideas: In The Hot Seat Again by Atlas Society, April 30, 2012

----------------------------

As for Paul Ryan's attitude of not helping certain groups of people some of this we already saw in the policies of George W. Bush for instance insisting everybody support the troops and yet cutting the salary and benefits of average soldiers , refusing to give out promised bonuses to soldiers who did not finish their Tour Of Duty because they were wounded or became physically and mentally unable to carry out their duties or actually died in combat. Afterall according to the Neocons Bush, Cheney, Ryan ,Romney a contract is a contract no matter how deceptive it might be. Anyone signing up for military service probably needs a lawyer to go over these contracts as closely as possible and not merely peruse them and they can not trust the word of a General or a government Lawyer who are in on the scam . These guys are as wiley as door to door vaccum salesmen or other con men.

We have seen under the Bush Regime and the Obama regime wide spread abuses of POWS including intimidation, humiliation and various forms of abuse and torture .
We have seen in both Regimes a wanton disregard for the lives of innocent civilians
Bush and Obama have both committed various war crimes and crimes against humanity from targeted assassinations and renditions, kidnappings carried out in side sovereign nations.
When Americans blows the crap out of a city or town in Iraq or Afghanistan or Pakistan or Libya or by their surrogates in Syria and other nations we are told these war crimes are justified one because the acts are by the USA and the USA holds its exceptional position in the world due to either the natural laws of social darwinism or because of God's blessing and those America are fighting are not mere humans but are evil and possibly minions of Satan. Now how does on counteract such an argument.

NYPD Taru Zuccotti Raid Footage Via Anonymous

Published on Sep 23, 2012 by taruvideo

pastebin.com/ycpyBL20

Hello Citizens of the Free world.

On November 15, 2011, the NYPD surrounded the Zuccotti Park and poceeded to forcefully dismantle the Occupy Wall Street encampment. As part of this effort, the authorities made all media leave the scene and the only images of what happened came from one live streamer who stayed in the center of the park until his arrest, and one other citizen journalist who kept filming on his camera and managed to somehow smuggle the footage out of the arrest zone. Today We release a trove of video shot by NYPD itself - from 14 different angles including surveillance cameras.

While it is clear that a lot of this police footage is incomplete and has been edited , some may say even tampered with, to remove the most damning incidents (sometimes in very obvious edits) there is still enough material to paint the picture of what really happened in Zuccotti park once the media cameras had left.

We the Anonymous Police are placing this information in the public domain for the people to use it to identify offending officers and explore the inconsistencies between the official narrative and reality.

" Footage of NYPD's Brutal Raid That Ended 2-Month Occupation of Zuccotti Park Released " by Laura Gottesdiener, Alternet.org, Sept. 25, 2012

This release of the footage is the first major public documentation of the raid on November 15, 2011, when the police arrested an estimated 200.

More than sixty hours of footage documenting the NYPD raid on the Occupy Wall Street encampment at Zuccotti Park appeared online Sunday night, nearly one year after the event. Members of Anonymous, the hacking activist network, announced that the footage was leaked from the NYPD’s Technical Assistance Research Unit (TARU), a subsection of the department that films the police during political demonstrations.

...The video shows crowds of people being dragged out of the park by the police, who then ransacked the camp and tore down all of the standing structures including the Kitchen, the Library and the Medical Tent. The footage also shows the police sawing through chains to break the lockdown at the center of the park, where six people chained themselves together with bicycle U-locks attached to their necks. Others chained themselves to trees and railings inside the park.

Many of these events have not been fully documented until Sunday night because the NYPD arrested, harassed and blocked journalists from reporting during the night of the raid. There were reports that both subway stations around and the airspace above Lower Manhattan was closed.

“The brash manner in which officers ordered reporters off the streets and then made them back off until the actions of the police were almost invisible is outrageous,” The New York Press Club later said in a statement.

“We want the department to investigate the incidents involved this crackdown on Zuccotti Park, and we want assurances it won’t happen again.”

Some AP journalists were so incensed by the arrest of an AP reporter and photographer that they reported the events on Twitter before the story went out on the wire, which later provoked a staff-wide email reprimanding reporters from breaking policy.

Sunday night, Anonymous announced the release of the sixty hours of footage in a two-minute teaser video posted on YouTube

...There are numerous pending lawsuits against the NYPD stemming from alleged police misconduct during the raid. One lawsuit, brought by the OWS Library , is suing the department for $47,000 for destroying or confiscating nearly 5,000 books.

In another suit on behalf of activists arrested in the park that night, attorney Jethro Eisenstein has argued that the raid itself was illegal

Ann Romney is in a snit over Democrats criticisms but now even Repiblicans are criticizing Mitt Romney because he has made so many gaffes . She believes that she and Mitt are the victims whom people don't appreciate . She and Mitt though act too much like the spoiled super-rich elitist that they actually are. Besides Mitt made his money on investments , foreclosures and hedge funds and other non-productive areas of high finance.

They act as if they really had to struggle to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. The Romney's are a symbol of the privileged in this new Gilded Age they have no idea how average Americans in these uncertain times are worried and struggling unsure about what will occur in their futures as their incomes depreciate rather then grow. While the number of actual poor people is America has risen in leaps and bounds . What advice does Romney have to suck it up and get off their lazy fat asses and get a job.

Now it seems to me for what I know about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) and its founder Joseph Smith that Mitt Romney only got part of Smith's message and missed out on Smith's belief in the Mormon community going that extra step to help the less fortunate members of their church. For instance crops were grown especially to share with the poor and land was given to them and the poorer members of the Church from other parts of America were helped out financially in order to move first Missouri and later Salt Lake and those coming from Europe who could not afford it the Church paid for their passage and for setting them up in their homes.
According to Mitt Romney a large portion of the Early Mormon church were just "Moochers" and " ne'er do wells "sucking at the teat of those who were successful. These days as in the Gilded Age in latter part of the 19th century it is Big Business and the Super Rich who get preferential treatment while everybody else has to make do.

What Romney preaches appears to be at odds with the basic belief in equality and treating others with dignity because they too are the Children of God and not just the leaders of the Church. This is also why the LDS insist all male members should and do strive for priesthood and to have "eternal Marriages" which last not just on earth but later continue on the celestial plane in Heaven or in God's and the Gods presence. Each man is promised that he too may become like God and rule over their own planet someday.

The situation with women is different as the LDS does not adhere to the belief that women are to be permitted to work at any career they wish but rather their career should be looking after the home, the family etc. while at the end of the day "Father always Knows Best". As Marie Osmond said she leaves politics and other issues up to her husband and votes as he directs her.

#OWS Update : The Obama Administration Ignores Police Violating Civil Rights of #OWS Protesters

"Trouble with Normal Is - It Always Gets Worse"-Bruce Cockburn

The Occupy Movement is now going into its second year and its grievances against the government and Wall Street has not changed much -the economic inequalty in the USA has itself only gotten worse. Meanwhile Obama and his cronies of super-rich Neo-Liberal elitist will of course this being election campaigning season say whatever will help Obama to get re-elected. But once Obama is settled in the White House for a second term things will not change but he and his administration will just revert to business as usual . Obama may of course push for some changes such as making it a right for same sex couples to get married and hve their rights respected but as for helping them getting jobs, or paying off student debts or mortgages or getting full Health care benefits on these things he will claim the Republicans won't budge while he makes back room deals with the Republicans ,big business and Wall Street .

President Obama sounds fairly liberal and even progressive when it comes to making speeches but his actions in a number of areas are basically a continuation of the status quo when it comes to taking on Wall Street and Big Business and the super-wealthy  or even foreign policy or  Environmental issues or defending the rights of all workers  or developing a more progressive system of taxation .

President Obama is also rather naive to say the least as he believes that the majority of Democrats and Republican politicians are concerned about the problems facing average Americans when in fact most are interested in furthering their careers and becoming wealthier as elected officials and when they leave government to take well paying jobs working for those corporations they helped while in office.

As the Republican party moves further to the right so too does the Democrats who have become the party of traditional conservatism and so refuse to deal with the grievances brought into the open and into the media by the Occupy Movement .

Obama and the Democrats are dependent on their financial support by the Wall Street Thugs and gamblers who 's only motivation is not the health of the nation but rather increasing their own wealth and to Hell with everybody else. So the differences between the two major parties when it comes to a number of issues is at times almost non-existent .

Chris Hedges: 'OWS - the story is far from over'

Published on Sep 17, 2012 by RTAmerica

Today protesters are gathering in downtown Manhattan to mark the first anniversary of Occupy Wall Street movement which kicked out a year ago in Zuccotti Park . RT's Marina Portnaya is speaking with Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and author Christopher Hedges about the impact of the OWS movement and its future.

In Obama/Romney's America where the police are permitted and encouraged to rough up and assault peaceful protesters the tyranny of the rich, powerful and well connected continues. While the FBI and other agencies have been given free rein to spy on , infiltrate and even act as Agent provocateurs . If someone complains about these attacks on freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom to protest and to present grievances to those in power the individuals and organizations are labelled as UnAmerican as inciting violence as a possible domestic terrorist threat.

Its odd for all the complaining the right-wing and conservatives do about state interference in peoples rights ie to own and carry fire arms to or labelling their speech even if innocuous as Hate Speech but when the police and FBI and Homeland Security and the White House permits or encourages by word or deed or by silence arrest and assault people deemed as being to the left on the political and ideological spectrum.

The hypocritical Conservatives and the GOP and the Conservative news agencies such as Fox News treat those protesting who have different views than they have either by ignoring the egregious attacks on civil liberties or defend the police and those in power. So Fox News is all for freedom of speech as long it is leans to the right.

When the same happens to conservative groups or individuals Fox News Channel, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter et al say nothing or make jokes and snide remarks as if these so called "Rights" and "Civil Liberties" are only the provenance of conservatives and the far right.

Obama and the Democrats are not themselves supporters of the Occupy Movement no matter what the GOP and the conservative movement contends because they too are dependent upon Wall Street and Big Business to finance their political campaigns without any consideration for the average citizens in America or the average members of the citizenry in other nations unless it suits their purpose to proclaim this publicly so they can then justify their policies of sanctions and eventually military intervention directly or by proxy.

So if Mitt Romney and the Republicans were to defeat Obama and the Democrats  will there really be much of a difference whichever party wins in regard to silencing protests against Wall Street and the Status Quo.

As President of the USA Obama could at the very least insists the attorney general investigate the wide spread abuses and brutality by the militarized police forces across America. Obama has no excuse for getting involved in this situation since it is a matter of civil and human rights being violated -so much for America being a beacon of freedom, morality or even common decency and the rule of law. Even the Democrats like the Republicans when push comes to shove literally ignore the abuses of police and ignore the legitimate grievances touted by the Occupy Movement.

If Obama cared about average American citizens then he could have taken action to stop the millions of housing foreclosures put a moratorium on student's payments on student loan debts, Obama could have put tighter restrictions on and reduce the ceiling for interests on credit cards and bank loans and mortgages etc.

Instead in each case Obama either made a Faustian style bargain with the Republicans and those conservative Democrats who are Democrats in name only who are as conservative as the Republicans  or Obama has shown his disdain for the millions of average American citizens who support the grievances of the Occupy movement by ignoring these issues or even making jokes and snide remarks about the Occupy movement .

Further President Obama has not taken even some preliminary basic steps by not even attempting to put forth applicable legislation or setting up an investigation committee to honestly and sincerely examine these issues and not just ask the Banksters and Robber Barons and other Big Business crooks what they happen to think and not ask average citizens.

Protests, arrests mark first anniversary of OWS in NYC

Hundreds of police barricaded the New York Stock Exchange as Occupy Wall Street protesters swarmed the Financial District for the movement's one-year anniversary. A group of 50 protesters entered the lobby of the JPMorgan Chase building, and eight were reportedly arrested. The OWS movement, sparked by protests last year against corporate greed, income inequality and the corrupting influence of money in politics, was inactive for several months. Monday's protest comes in the wake of three days of civic activism intended to breathe new life into the movement, ahead of its one-year anniversary.
