Trophy Photos Of Dead Civilians Released of US Soldiers "Kill Team" While Americans Rationalize and Make Excuses For the " Inexcusable"

UPDATE: 2:44 PM , March 21, 2011

US soldiers in Afghanistan have brought this fiction to life with its own Kill Team which has hunted down Afghan Civilians just for sport.

While the USA is using force to implement a no-fly zone for Libya the West is supporting Saudi Arabia to invade Bahrain with some 10,000 troops to quell the popular uprising in Bahrain.

The Western nations especially the Obama administration does not want the media or public to question this hypocritical attitude when it comes to its beloved ally Saudi Arabia.
For whatever reason the West appears indifferent to the killing of Bahraini protesters.
Obama is cowardly giving in to the demands of the Saudi Monarchy.

Saudi and Bahrain security forces are Murdering unarmed protesters and Washington Applauds
In this clip we see the Security forces taking part in what is an ongoing tactic across Bahrain of Drive By Shootings at anyone on the streets

The Saudi Monarchy like Qaddafi are using disproportionate force to silence protesters in its own country.
The Saudis have no reservations about killing their fellow citizens yet the USA and UN is silent .

US soldiers in a unit they called "Kill Team" in which they targeted civilians and others for sport.
Two dead Afghanistan civilians - a tragedy
But US Military , the Pentagon, the White House, Obama and the US Media merely see this as a PR: Public Relations issue and not one of human rights or War Crimes.
Will the military or JAG, or FBI,or CIA or Congress investigate to see how far up the chain of command this was permitted, ordered or just ignored- ie plausible denial-
When the military and government create an environment in which lawless behavior of the most brutal kind is ignored, promoted, given tacit approval and goes unpunished or the punishment is merely window dressing for those concerned about such issues -the soldiers themselves are culpable but their commanders have by doing nothing committed War Crimes and or Crimes Against Humanity and of course the further up it goes the worse it is for those at the top if they knew and did nothing or refused to even hear such complaints from the rank and file or by citizens on the ground.

This victim looks more like a child but that never stops the American War Machine.
Even if this afgan kid was armed and fighting the US soldiers have been told that age is of no consequence since the US refuses to recognize the international  designation of "Child Soldiers"

The US has over and over again been dismissive of the Nuremberg decisions or of the Geneva Conventions as being quaint.and refer to their enemy captured as not being POWs and therefore not deserving of being treated with dignity They refuse also to call them "Enemy Combatants" but rather terrorists and once captured "detainees" who have no rights and can be disappeared if someone in command so chooses and this the Americans tell the rest of the world is justified in this conflict.
This seems a rather extreme point of view which in America is also ahistorical since even against the Japanese and NAZI Americans on the whole did not abuse or torture POWs even against such brutal and savage enemies.
And even America's founding fathers agreed on this point that prisoners were to be treated as humanely as possible and to prove their just cause that these rebellious colonists would not stoop to behaving as inhumanely as the British troops did.
In fact one of the reasons for America's War of Independence had to do with the British violations of due process and the use of the King's Warrants and the knock on the door in the middle of the night. (now unfortunately it is American and British soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan and Pakistan who have no patience with the rule of law and who without warrants or just cause barge into peoples homes in the middle of the night and the occupants are not sure if this time the US or British soldiers will arrest everyone or kill them or rape the women and sodomize the boys and men just for a few laughs or for revenge.

Obama like Bush has if anything made light of the International Courts and like its client states such as Israel uses banned weapons such as Phosphorus , cluster bombs , land mines in order to terrorize civilian populations. And they see no reason that they should not torture or murder their captured enemies .  Obama and Bush  believe that they and their nation are outside the realm of human law, justice or human decency .

Anyway we'll return to this below but I'd like to share another video about the people of Bahrain whom Obama and the his Gang of Thugs have thrown to the wolves as it were.
It appears President Obama, NATO, the United Nations ,The European Union have abandoned the people of Bahrain to their brutal rulers and to the American backed  Saudi Arabian military. Odd that in most of these countries where there are uprisings the governments' military are using mainly American tanks and Apache helicopters or French or British fighter planes to butcher unarmed civilians or now lightly armed civilians in contrast to the government forces.
And since the Saudis are taking control of Bahrain no other nation are allowed to criticize their actions or if they criticize it is not followed up by any substantive measures.

Medical Personnel Accuse Government of Bahrain of A Cover-up of the Number of Citizens killed or wounded by The Bahrain Military and the Saudi Military.

And in Syria : Protest Over The Murder of 6 Protesters in the Syrian City of Darra March 19, 2011.

And now back to the main event -the US and UN invasion of Libya-one need only look at the photo above to see what the people of Libya are in for -if America and Britain take control of the operation as they did in Iraq and Afghanistan . To keep the oil flowing they are willing to kill millions if need be. Unfortunately if things go bad other innocent and naive or trusting nations such as Canada are getting drawn into America's "Perpetual War Machine"- once involved the peoples in these countries may not bother with such distinctions and just see all of these nations as brutal unjust greedy and bloodthirsty Regimes.

These photos like those from Abu Ghriab illustrate America's belief in its own exceptionalism and its superiority to all other nations and peoples.

US military claims of course that the "Kill Team" which targeted civilians was somehow out of the ordinary but why should anyone believe these pathological war loving liars and propagandists.
The US military and the White House lied about the number of civilian deaths in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
It has been estimated that at least some 650,000 Iraqis have died since the American conquest and occupation of Iraq.

And now they have the nerve to insist they be allowed to bomb conquer and occupy Libya to be followed by Iran.

They lied about Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib , and Bah-gram and a hundred other prison & torture facilities run by these ghouls. We now know thousands were and possibly still are being abused, tortured sodomized , degraded, humiliated day in and day out by their American guards and so called interrogators (or by their proxies in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Jordan, Uzbeckistan, Egypt and dozens of other countries who's governments do the bidding of their master the good old hypocritical anti-democratic anti-human rights United States of America.
. The fish rots from the head first.
Just last week or so Pakistan was forced to let an American citizen / CIA operative go home to America after murdering several citizens.

The US will again have some sort of show-trial to prove they do not condone such actions as those committed by Kill Team meanwhile US soldiers like US local police as noted in a previous post are trained to hate all Muslims and that the only good Muslim is a dead Muslim whether they are four years old 14 or 40 or 70.

And most of the US media will tow the party line and extolling the virtues of American soldiers who are fighting to save Western Civilization from barbarians such as Saddam or Qaddifi.
The Americans are now claiming that most terrorists attacks are now being commanded by Qaddafi and so the USA wants to invade and conquer Libya as they did Iraq.

Is it that because the US economy is suffering some severe body blows that the US this time with Obama at the helm they might be able to get more control over the oil and other natural resources to save their own nation and to hell with those who dare to live on top of these resources and not willing to sell everything on the cheap to the USA.

US Army 'Kill Team' in Afghanistan Posed for Photos of Murdered Civilians

Commanders brace for backlash of anti-US sentiment that could be more damaging than after the Abu Ghraib scandal By Jon Boone "The Guardian" March 21, 2011

-- Commanders in Afghanistan are bracing themselves for possible riots and public fury triggered by the publication of "trophy" photographs of US soldiers posing with the dead bodies of defenceless Afghan civilians they killed.

Senior officials at Nato's International Security Assistance Force in Kabul have compared the pictures published by the German news weekly Der Spiegel to the images of US soldiers abusing prisoners in Abu Ghraib in Iraq which sparked waves of anti-US protests around the world.

They fear that the pictures could be even more damaging as they show the aftermath of the deliberate murders of Afghan civilians by a rogue US Stryker tank unit that operated in the southern province of Kandahar last year.

Some of the activities of the self-styled "kill team" are already public, with 12 men currently on trial in Seattle for their role in the killing of three civilians.

Five of the soldiers are on trial for pre-meditated murder, after they staged killings to make it look like they were defending themselves from Taliban attacks.

Other charges include the mutilation of corpses, the possession of images of human casualties and drug abuse.

All of the soldiers have denied the charges. They face the death penalty or life in prison if convicted.

The case has already created shock around the world, particularly with the revelations that the men cut "trophies" from the bodies of the people they killed.

As for foreign intervention it may not be advisible if it is done in a heavy handed manner as in Shock and Awe when the US invaded iraq .

The Americans in 2003  claimed then they were not there  to conquer and occupy the country.
The only successful construction projects in Iraq has been the building of the largest Embassy in the world in Baghdad referred to as The Emerald City a paradise in the midst of Hell.

Eight years later they are  still in Iraq and Afghanistan and have pushed their way into Pakistan as they slowly militarize the entire region .

So if the International Community agrees to take part in military action against Libya it should if doesn't want to appear hypocritical by not also threatening Yemen, Syria &, Bahrain.

The international community if it were really on the side of justice and not just interested in Oil supples and getting on the good side of America they would right now be chastising and enforcing sanctions on these countries and on Saudi Arabia which is helping to slaughter civilians in Bahrain.

If there is bombing for instance it must be only on military targets not the nations infrastructure power stations, its communication systems they must  allow the  press and media access without being forced to be embedded
As in the days before the Iraq occupation an invading army has the duty to protect members of the media and to not target them as the enemy which the Americans and Israelis seem to enjoy killing journalist and especially those working for Aljazeera.
They must also allow humanitarian organizations and other NGOs to enter the country and be defended by the occupying forces. This means allowing access by groups such as  the Red Cross , Red Crescent, Doctors without borders, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International

Before entering Libya or any other nation to liberate them ? it must carefully and slowly be explained that the United States or any other nation including Israel are NOT  to bomb schools, hospitals,  United Nations facilities and those of other NGOs and humanitarian groups or ambulance drivers, medics -but don't expect the USA to follow such rules.

If Obama is willing to send in the Drones to blow up people attending a family gathering such as a wedding or a funeral and has no problem torturing Bradley Manning and for defending the FBI, CIA, Pentagon and private security firms all of whom wantonly killed civilians , tortured people as a military tactic to put the fear of God into the local population.

"The drawbacks of intervention in Libya Concerns over oil markets, geopolitics and refugees might be behind no-fly zone decision, scholars argue." by Asli U. Bâli and Ziad Abu-Rish at Aljazeera ,March 20, 2011

The Libyan uprising is entering its fourth week. The courage and persistence of the Libyan people's efforts to overthrow Gaddafi have been met with ongoing regime brutality ranging from shoot-to-kill policies to the indiscriminate use of artillery against unarmed civilians.
In addition to the current no-fly zone, the UN Security Council unanimously issued a resolution imposing tough measures against the Libyan regime including an arms embargo, asset freeze, travel ban and a referral of the situation in Libya to the International Criminal Court for investigation.
The desire to act in solidarity with the Libyan people demands that we assess the available options against the core principle of legitimacy that any intervention must satisfy: Do no harm (that is, do not do more harm on balance by intervening).
The likelihood that coercive intervention would satisfy this principle is severely constrained when evaluated against the historical record, logistical realities, and the incentives and interests of the states in a position to serve as the would-be external interveners.Put simply, coercive external intervention to alter the balance of power on the ground in Libya in favor of the anti-Gaddafi revolt is likely to backfire badly.
The attendant costs would, of course, be borne not by those who call for intervention from outside of Libya but by the Libyan people with whom we hope to show solidarity. In what follows we argue that embracing the call for solidarity requires a much more careful appraisal of the interventionist option, precisely because the potential risks will be borne by Libyan civilians...
         .ICC referral 'counter-productive'
Libyans have already made great inroads on the ground and without external support towards a goal of regime change in which they will determine the day-after scenarios for their country.
To date, measures adopted by the international community have done little to aid, and may have undermined, Libyan efforts at liberation. For instance, the call for an ICC referral in the measures adopted by the UN Security Council was most likely counter-productive.
The first priority should have been a negotiated exit strategy for Gaddafi and his family, not unlike the path already paved for the other recently deposed Arab despots, Ben Ali and Mubarak.
Instead, by immediately referring the regime for investigation by the ICC the international community has signaled to Gaddafi that neither he nor his children will be allowed to go quietly, potentially redoubling his resolve to fight to the last.
Allowing a negotiated exit to exile in an African or South American country would not have precluded a subsequent ICC referral, but might have facilitated an early end to the violence currently ravaging Libya. Further, the same resolution that referred Libyan authorities to the ICC contained a specific exemption from ICC jurisdiction for foreign interveners not party to the Rome Statute, anticipating and providing impunity in some cases for civilian deaths that result from possible UN Security Council-authorised operations in Libya down the line.
The ICC referral has been described as an attempt to incentivise those around Gaddafi to defect. Rather than vindicating international accountability, this logic of incentives suggests impunity for last-minute defectors notwithstanding decades of crimes against the Libyan population.
At its most basic, the ICC referral represents the triumph of a set of international goals (vindicating a constrained conception of international accountability through the Libyan regime) over the immediate interest in an early resolution of the Libyan crisis through the provision of a regime exit strategy. This privileging of international over local interests is typical of external intervention and would only be exacerbated by options involving the use of force...
and so it goes,
GORD.
