Aljazeera still doing its best to cover events as they unfold in Egypt. Today there is a plan for a massive demonstration ibn Cairo against the Egytian government so it is crucial that there be journalists or bloggers with cameras to put out onto the Net. if at all possible.

More than a million protesters flooded into central Cairo, turning Tahrir Square in the Egyptian capital, into a sea of humanity as massive protests against President Hosni Mubarak swept across Middle East's most populous nation.
Packed shoulder to shoulder in and around the famed Tahrir Square, the mass of people on Tuesday held aloft posters denouncing the president, and chanted slogans "Go Mubarak Go" and "Leave! Leave! Leave!"
Similar demonstrations calling on Mubarak to step down were also witnessed across other cities, including Sinai, Alexandria, Suez, Mansoura, Damnhour, Arish, Tanta and El-Mahalla el-Kubra.---------
Tens of thousands marched in Alexandria while the number of those protesting in Sinai was estimated to be around 250,000.
Tuesday's protests were by far the biggest since street demonstrations broke out against Mubarak's rule last week.
"The crowd is very diverse - young, old, religious, men, women - and growing by the minute," Al Jazeera's online producer said from Tahrir Square.
"They're chanting the same slogans they've been chanting all week. Someone actually hung an effigy of Mubarak from a streetlight."
Organisers had called for a march by a million people on the day, but the turnout surpassed all expectations.
Soldiers deployed at the square did nothing to stop the crowds from entering.
They have formed a human chain around protesters, and are checking people for weapons as they enter. Tanks have been positioned near the square, and officers have been checking identity papers.
According to reports, the military police have placed barbed wire around Mubarak's residence in Masr el-Gedidah, a suburb east of Cairo.
Sources said Mubarak is expected to offer "a solution" in an address to the nation shortly.
It is interesting according that according to the New York Times the whitehouse including those in the oval office are watching feeds fro the network they banned that is Aljazeera as did Canada and Britain. As I have noted right wing Hate Radio and Hate mongers on Fox News are considerate a legitimate News organizations but Aljazeera they have characterized as being a propaganda tool of Bin Laden and other Islamic extremists. Yes it tends to have Middle East bias as it were because it is located in the Middle East staffed by Middle Easterners not Americans or Brits or French or other Christian Colonialists. Most of the time Aljazeera is much more reliable on certain issues than other news agencies and isn't just infotainment filled with propaganda and trivialities about Hollywood stars or reality TV etc.
If Rush Limbaugh represents the average American then the world is in trouble. His recent comment attacking Chinese, Japanese, Iraqis, Egyptians for speaking their native language rather than English . He characterizes the languages they speak as being "meaningless jibberish". How racist or Zenophobic can one get. Limbaugh talks about these peoples as if they were barbarians or backward or a bit further down on the evolutionary ladder . And why is this well just because he doesn't understand the language -like the Ugly American who goes abroad and wants to eat American food and have everyone speak American that is English. .
But even the Obama administration is staffed by those who believe in American exceptionalism. Anyone who believes this secular/Christian Ntionalist belief are bound to look down on all other nations. So Americans can kill some 600,000 Iraqis and the whole thing is denied as they deny or make excuses and rationalizations for abusing and torturing prisoners-that is POWs whom the Americans treated like dogs. As someone once said an American including their dogs who reside in a foreign country are considered to be of more value than a citizen of that country whether it is Iraq,Iran , Saudi Arabia or Germany the Americans in many countries have full immunity including bureaucrats and the US troops and those working for the Americans including all sub-contractors.

Not surprisingly Israel's Prime Minister Neanyahu when it comes to Egypt they don't care how undemocratic authoritarian and brutal Mubarak's regime is he is after all an ally to Israel . The problem is like other such dictators Mubarak is the peoples enemy. Mubarak only interests are his self interests and helping his family and friends and loyal supporters who have become wealthy through their on going corruption. The Israeli governments have also had corrupt leaders and those who merely use the ballot box to gain power to press for their own agenda of personal wealth and power to say whatever it takes to maintain power .
Do such cynical politicians really believe in anything . Though it appears Netanyahu does take pleasure in crushing and starving the Palestinians into submission to him and Israel.
So with this sort of implicit threat does Israel hope to turn the tide against Mubarak . Is Israel hoping that the Egyptian military and others loyal to Mubarak will take a tougher stand against the popular uprising in Egypt.
Is Netanyahu saying that if Mubarak and his thugs are ousted Israel will break off relations with Israel or may even consider taking military action against the people of Egypt as they did to Gaza and to Lebanon and as they and the American government are expected eventually to do to Iran that is bomb it back to the stone age as it were. The Israelis as usual are the wild card in the Middle East more so than Iran. So will president Obama and the leaders of other nations start to fall in line behind Israel or will they defy Israe.

Israel called on the United States and a number of European countries over the weekend to curb their criticism of President Hosni Mubarak to preserve stability in the region.
Jerusalem seeks to convince its allies that it is in the West's interest to maintain the stability of the Egyptian regime. The diplomatic measures came after statements in Western capitals implying that the United States and European Union supported Mubarak's ouster.
Israeli officials are keeping a low profile on the events in Egypt, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu even ordering cabinet members to avoid commenting publicly on the issue.
Senior Israeli officials, however, said that on Saturday night the Foreign Ministry issued a directive to around a dozen key embassies in the United States, Canada, China, Russia and several European countries. The ambassadors were told to stress to their host countries the importance of Egypt's stability. In a special cable, they were told to get this word out as soon as possible.
EU foreign ministers are to discuss the situation in Egypt at a special session today in Brussels, after which they are expected to issue a statement echoing those issued in recent days by U.S. President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Obama called on Mubarak to take "concrete steps" toward democratic reforms and to refrain from violence against peaceful protesters, sentiments echoed in a statement Saturday night by the leaders of Britain, France and Germany.
"The Americans and the Europeans are being pulled along by public opinion and aren't considering their genuine interests," one senior Israeli official said. "Even if they are critical of Mubarak they have to make their friends feel that they're not alone. Jordan and Saudi Arabia see the reactions in the West, how everyone is abandoning Mubarak, and this will have very serious implications."
Netanyahu announced at Sunday's weekly cabinet meeting that the security cabinet will convene Monday to discuss the situation in Egypt.
"The peace between Israel and Egypt has lasted for more than three decades and our objective is to ensure that these relations will continue to exist," Netanyahu told his ministers. "We are closely monitoring events in Egypt and the region and are making efforts to preserve its security and stability."
The Foreign Ministry has called on Israelis currently in Egypt to consider returning home and for those planning to visit the country to reconsider. It is telling Israelis who have decided to remain in Egypt to obey government directives.
