Anyway many politicians and media often hold contradictory views on terrorism . Some terrorist they say are OK ie IRA who were fighting against British Imperialism, the Contras in El Salvador fighting against Socialist Nicaragua killing , torturing , kidnapping, raping etc. all in the name of Capitalism and Christianity. Or we can take the example of terrorist who were fighting against the Soviets in Afghanistan or when Israel uses Terrorist tactics against its enemies including including innocent civilians men , women , children etc.
Many American politicians including Jesse Helms and McCain supported the brutal South African Apartheid Terrorist Regime or the use of terrorist tactics by the Shah of Iran, Pinochet in Chile , Jose Posada of Cuba. When the terrorists are on America's side they are forgiven for their actions.
