Anyway once again the alarm is being raised about Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists & other extremist who have allowed into the US military and it seems they are tolerated by other soldiers band by the chain of command in direct contravention of the military code. But it should be noted as I point out below that concerns over allowing extremists into the US military go back at least to 2006 so we can conclude that though the alarm was raised then the military , the Pentagon & the Bush Regime were unconcerned. Part of this appears to be that since 9/11 racist views have become embedded as it were in the US forces including the Chain of Command possibly even given a wink and a nod by Bush or Dick Cheney or Rumsfeld-
Meanwhile we have had several disturbing murders take place in the US recently . Part of what is disturbing about this is that a report by The Department of Homeland Security & a report by the Southern Poverty Law Center both note an increase in the number of Hate Groups & extremists operating in the US. Part of their concern was that Iraqi vets in particular would be targeted for recruitment by these extremists .
As you know the Right Wing Conservatives & Republicans & Fox News went nuts claiming this was all part of an attack on conservatives by President Obama. They did not bother to note that the Homeland Security report had been called for by the Bush administration & that a report was issued on Left wing extremists such as Environmentalist and another report was put out on Right wing extremists.
And now the conservative right wingers media spokespersons claim that they are not fueling hatred and more racist motivated violence just because they compare President Obama to Adolph Hitler or Joseph Stalin or Mao or claim Obama is out to create a Fascist State or Collectivist Communist State . They also claim Obama is creating a National Youth Movement which is just like that of the Nazi Youth Movement under Hitler- Glen Beck for instance appears on television crying he says because he loves America & Obama is destroying it . Fox News also became the official network for the Tea Parties - an anti-tax, pro-rich movement used to scare average Americans into believing Obama was going to raise taxes to an unprecedented level which was nonsense. While at the same time Fox News personalities went on the attack on a daily basis since Obama's inauguration sounding the alarm calling for an uprising against the Obama administration telling their viewers that Obama was UnAmerican & a socialist & a secret Muslim & possibly was not even an American citizen. Do these conservatives not realize they are fanning the flames or don't they care.
And now we return to the extremists such as White Supremacists, anti-Semitic, Neo-Nazis & Nativists.
The propaganda of these Neo-Nazis in their characterization of the Jews is similar to the over the top rhetoric used by individuals & groups in the US who claim illegal immigrants in the US are destroying America. They describe these immigrants as " swarming across the border "or as a Horde as an invasion bringing crime & disease & immoral values to America. These days many of these extremists groups have latched onto the debate in America over illegal immigrants & immigration in general of what they consider to be the wrong sort of people ie Arabs , Hispanics, Muslims especially those who are not of European descent or who are not white or who are not Christian.

Since the launch of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the U.S. military has struggled to recruit and reenlist troops. As the conflicts have dragged on, the military has loosened regulations, issuing "moral waivers" in many cases, allowing even those with criminal records to join up. Veterans suffering post-traumatic stress disorder have been ordered back to the Middle East for second and third tours of duty.
The lax regulations have also opened the military's doors to neo-Nazis, white supremacists and gang members — with drastic consequences. Some neo-Nazis have been charged with crimes inside the military, and others have been linked to recruitment efforts for the white right. A recent Department of Homeland Security report, "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment," stated: "The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today." Many white supremacists join the Army to secure training for, as they see it, a future domestic race war. Others claim to be shooting Iraqis not to pursue the military's strategic goals but because killing "hajjis" is their duty as white militants.
Soldiers' associations with extremist groups, and their racist actions, contravene a host of military statutes instituted in the past three decades. But during the "war on terror," U.S. armed forces have turned a blind eye on their own regulations. A 2005 Department of Defense report states, "Effectively, the military has a 'don't ask, don't tell' policy pertaining to extremism. If individuals can perform satisfactorily, without making their extremist opinions overt … they are likely to be able to complete their contracts."
...Today a complete ban on membership in racist organizations appears to have been lifted — though the proliferation of white supremacists in the military is difficult to gauge. The military does not track them as a discrete category, coupling them with gang members. ..

Such attitudes come straight from the movement's leaders. "We do encourage them to sign up for the military," says Charles Wilson, spokesman for the National Socialist Movement. "We can use the training to secure the resistance to our government." Billy Roper, of White Revolution, says skinheads join the military for the usual reasons, such as access to higher education, but also "to secure the future for white children." "America began in bloody revolution," he reminds me, "and it might end that way."
...Rooting out extremists is difficult because racism pervades the military, according to soldiers. They say troops throughout the Middle East use derogatory terms like "hajji" or "sand nigger" to define Arab insurgents and often the Arab population itself.
"Racism was rampant," recalls vet Michael Prysner, who served in Iraq in 2003 and 2004 as part of the 173rd Airborne Brigade. "All of command, everywhere, it was completely ingrained in the consciousness of every soldier. I've heard top generals refer to the Iraq people as 'hajjis.' The anti-Arab racism came from the brass. It came from the top. And everything was justified because they weren't considered people."

Ten years after a scandal over neo-Nazis in the armed forces, extremists are once again worming their way into a recruit-starved military.
Before the U.S. military made Matt Buschbacher a Navy SEAL, he made himself a soldier of the Fourth Reich.
Before Forrest Fogarty attended Military Police counter-insurgency training school, he attended Nazi skinhead festivals as lead singer for the hate rock band Attack.
And before Army engineer Jon Fain joined the invasion of Iraq to fight the War on Terror, the neo-Nazi National Alliance member fantasized about fighting a war on Jews.
"Ever since my youth -- when I watched WWII footage and saw how well-disciplined and sharply dressed the German forces were -- I have wanted to be a soldier," Fain said in a Winter 2004 interview with the National Alliance magazine Resistance. "Joining the American military was as close as I could get."
Ten years after Pentagon leaders toughened policies on extremist activities by active duty personnel -- a move that came in the wake of the Oklahoma City bombing by decorated Gulf War combat veteran Timothy McVeigh and the murder of a black couple by members of a skinhead gang in the elite 82nd Airborne Division -- large numbers of neo-Nazis and skinhead extremists continue to infiltrate the ranks of the world's best-trained, best-equipped fighting force. Military recruiters and base commanders, under intense pressure from the war in Iraq to fill the ranks, often look the other way.
Neo-Nazis "stretch across all branches of service, they are linking up across the branches once they're inside, and they are hard-core," Department of Defense gang detective Scott Barfield said. "We've got Aryan Nations graffiti in Baghdad," he added. "That's a problem."
The armed forces are supposed to be a model of racial equality. American soldiers are supposed to be defenders of democracy. Neo-Nazis represent the opposite of these ideals. They dream of race war and revolution, and their motivations for enlisting are often quite different than serving their country.
"Join only for the training, and to better defend yourself, our people, and our culture," Fain said. "We must have people to open doors from the inside when the time comes."
..."Recruiters are knowingly allowing neo-Nazis and white supremacists to join the armed forces, and commanders don't remove them from the military even after we positively identify them as extremists or gang members," said Department of Defense investigator Barfield.
...Barfield, who is based at Fort Lewis, said he has identified and submitted evidence on 320 extremists there in the past year. (2005) "Only two have been discharged," he said
...Every year, the Army's Criminal Investigation Division conducts a threat assessment of extremist and gang activity among army personnel. "Every year, they come back with 'minimal activity,' which is inaccurate," said Barfield. "It's not epidemic, but there's plenty of evidence we're talking numbers well into the thousands, just in the Army." Last July, the white supremacist website Stormfront hosted a discussion on "Joining the Military."
and on how extremist are using the issues of Illegal immigration & legal immigration as a means to influence more mainstream groups who may have legitimate concerns about illegal immigration.

Immigration remains a deeply polarizing issue in American politics and public life. Serious policy questions remain about the best way to reform America’s immigration system but the debate has also been framed, at times, by vitriolic anti-immigrant – and particularly anti-Latino – rhetoric and propaganda. Purveyors of this extremist rhetoric use stereotypes and outright bigotry to target immigrants and hold them responsible for numerous societal ills.
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which previously has documented how extremist groups like the Ku Klux Klan and neo-Nazis have exploited the immigration issue to advance their own agenda, has become increasingly concerned about the virulent anti-immigrant and anti-Latino rhetoric employed by a handful of groups and coalitions that have positioned themselves as legitimate, mainstream advocates against illegal immigration in America.
